Harpy Eagle

The Harpy Eagle is a tropical species of eagle, even if it lives in North America mostly. It looks like the Papuan Eagle, and it is related with this species. It is the largest bird raptor in America, and it also has a numerous population. The rainforests are the ideal habitat for this eagle, because it can find abundant resources of food in those areas. However, it is threatened because of the destruction of the Brazil Jungle. This is the reason why this eagle moved in other places, such as the Caribbean Islands. It is good news, because the species was almost extinct in Central America, but a bad news for the South America species of eagles.
