How dogs were domesticated

It is difficult to know that. Dogs are carnivore animals, with strong and sharp teeth, ready to hunt at any time. If those instincts were not lost in millenniums, it means that it was difficult for humans to domesticate the first dogs. It was probably a process that lasted for millenniums. There are still wild dogs that live in packs, and those are studied by specialists. Even the domesticated dogs can form packs and become wild, living together under the ruling of one leader or a few. The races developed by humans don’t have such strong wild instincts. However, we can assume that the Caucasian Shepherds were the first domesticated dogs.
