Where dogs came from

The origins of the domestic dogs can be found thousands of years ago, when the first grey wolves were domesticated. At the beginning, they were a source of food for humans, and their fur was used for making clothes. Now, they are the “best friends of humans”, being used for guarding but also for other tasks. It seems like the first domesticated dogs appeared 20 000 years ago, but there are no precise studies about how this process started, and about how it was made. Even so, it is one of the most important steps in human evolution.
